Gift Giving Guide

With the holidays upon us, we are all searching for the perfect gifts for loved ones on our list! Moody Sisters has so much to offer for your friends and family!

My mom travels to visit us about once a month for a weekend. She's always having to pack her big bottles of skin care products to make the trip. I have a very dear friend to me. You know, one of those friends that you can sit for hours with and still not talk about everything you want to talk about. We can't forget our children! HI! My name is Amanda, and I am new to the Moody Sisters blog site. A few weeks ago I contacted Whitney & Jess about doing a review of their products on my own blog, Open Hands and they graciously agreed! After posting my review Whitney contacted me about becoming a contributor for their blog. I have to admit, I was very humbled by this opportunity. I am not the best writer you will ever meet, but I love to share the life that God has blessed me with, with others. So here I am!! For my first post I was asked just to tell you a little bit about myself, so here it goes:

First and foremost I am a believer and lover of my Lord and Savior Jesus! He has taken my life and turned it into something more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and for that I will be ever be grateful. I live in West Virginia, have my whole life except for the 2 yrs I was away at college in upstate NY. I am married to the love of my life, a man that I simply adore, his name is Isaac we have been married for 7 yrs and he has shown me an amazing picture of Christ's love. We have 2 amazing children, both boys. Our oldest is 3 1/2 and his name is Aaron. Aaron is one of the most amazing kids I have ever met, he is very eager to learn and knows how to make us all laugh. Our youngest is 8 months old and his name is Micah. Micah is developing a little personality of his own and overall is just a very content and happy baby.

We are a family of 4, enjoying life together. Striving to honor the Lord in all we do, learning from our mistakes and encouraging one another. I am a stay at home mom and I couldn't think of a better job for myself. My hubby works IT for the government, he loves his job...the downfall is he drives 2 hrs one way to work close to DC, but we are thankful for all the opportunities the job has offered him and one day we hope to shorten his commute. ;-) We love our church family and strive to serve there the best we can. We are a cloth diapering and organic friendly family. Our love for all things green started when we had our first child, even though we didn't cloth diaper with him, we began doing a lot of research on organic eating and healthier living and it has broadened over the years. ( I will share more of that in a later post)


So that is a little about us. I am looking forward to this opportunity of working with Whitney , Jess & Terra and all of you!

Moody Sisters Sugar Scrub Review

I confess, I giggled when I first read the description for the Foaming Sugar Scrub:

Make your skin lusciously smooth with our FOAMING sugar scrub. This sugar scrub is made with organic EVAPORATED CANE JUICE crystals with dashes of sweet almond oil, Castile soap and glycerin to give you the perfect balance of EXFOLIATION, HYDRATION and FOAMING. Loaded with natural age-fighting properties, vitamins, and essential oils leaving your skin feeling WOWZERS.

However, anything that can leave my skin feeling "Wowzers", I'm all about!

The Foaming Sugar Scrub is a brand new product from Moody Sisters and it does not disappoint. You can choose your scrub to either be Lemon , Almond or Mint scented.

For my review scent, I chose Lemon and it is so refreshing!You will need to 'stir' up the scrub a bit, as the sugar settles at the bottom, but I find this very easy to do (I'll explain more in a minute)The scrub is so easy to use. I open the jar and then get my hands wet. I then take my pointer finger and dig to the bottom, scooping up the crystals and stirring the mixture. I then 'glop' some on my hand and get to scrubbing. It kind of tickles...(and if you have any hangnails or cuts on your hand, it might sting a bit, just an fyi!) And then, after a minute or so, I wash it off. I then grab my softest hand towel and pat my hands dry.

The final step is to marvel in the amazingness...Nothing can explain just how soft and new-feeling your skin will feel.

We have had some germs in our house recently and have spent a lot of time washing out nebulizer parts and medicine dispensers, not to mention, my hands. All this washing has left my hands feeling less than stellar. I've spent my 'me-time' the past few days bringing my hands back to life! I hope that it isn't possible to over-use the Foaming Sugar Scrub because I would be guilty of that this past week!
