MOODY SISTER’S ORGANIC & FRUGAL
CLEANING PRODUCT RECIPES

Liquid Laundry Detergent
1 Gallon HOT water
1/2 cup Washing Soda
1/2 cup Borax
1 cup castile soap OR 1 bar of soap grated and heated until melted
40-60 drops essential oil (OPTIONAL- I recommend lavender or peppermint)

In a gallon bucket or thoroughly washed out milk carton fill with extremely hot water. Add in sodas, soap and essential oils (optional). Put on cap and shake until powders have dissolved. Shake before each use and use ½ cup for small loads or 1 cup for large loads.

Powdered Dish Detergent
1 cup baking soda
1 cup washing soda or borax
(Optional) Vinegar
Mix powders together in Tupperware. Use one tablespoon per load. Fill up the pre-wash with vinegar to help with water spots.

Dandelion & Weed Killer
Mix:
1 gallon vinegar
1 cup salt
¼ cup washing soda or borax

Pour into a spray bottle with a stream sprayer. Target the base of the weeds and they will be dead in a day!
Coat areas with corn gluten meal (different than cornmeal) or a weed n' feed which will STOP any new roots growing. When you add weed and feed products you cannot seed your lawn with grass seed for a long time though.

Another option would be to get all your dandelions up and then just nurture your grass so it spreads to the bare areas. Attack any new dandelions that come up with the vinegar spray

All-Purpose Spray

32-ounce plastic spray bottle
2 cups water
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon pure castile soap
1 cup hydrogen peroxide
20 drops tea tree oil
20 drops essential oil (I like peppermint or lavender)
Simply fill a large 32-ounce plastic spray bottle with the water. Add the vinegar, castile soap, hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil and essential oil. This spray is suitable for acrylic, ceramic tile, wood, marble and granite.
